About the Country- Kyrgyzstan is a country for everyone, catering for all tastes and cultures. It  is located in Central Asia and is one of the six independent Turkic states. The Tian Shan mountains, which surround the old caravan route and dominate the country, are home to snow leopards, lynx and sheep. In the south, the millennia-old city of Osh has a huge, busy bazaar that was a stop on the Silk Road.

Location- A Central Asian country Kyrgyzstan shares borders with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and China.

Area-   The territory of Kyrgyzstan covers an area of 199,951square kilometres.

Climate & Weather- Kyrgyzstan has a continental climate with cold winters and warm summers and sometimes a sharp-continental, which leads to a spring snowfall, and even frost. If the north of Kyrgyzstan is influenced by arctic winds, the south is exposed to the south-western cyclones coming from the Mediterranean Sea, which results in sharp warming and precipitation, while the climate is close to the tropical.

Language- Kyrgyz (official) 64.7%, Uzbek 13.6%, Russian (official) 12.5%, Dungun 1%, other 8.2%.

Currency- The currency of Kyrgyzstan is the Som.

Population- 6,032,954  (Official Estimate – 2016)

Major Cities- The capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, is the largest city of the country.

Government- The Politics of Kyrgyzstan takes place in the framework of a parliamentary representative democratic republic, whereby the President is head of state and the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan is head of government.

Transportation- Transport of Kyrgyzstan have well- developed and diverse systems of public transport, including Railways, Buses, waterways, Airports etc.
